William Wilberforce has been one of my heroes for about 30 years - since i read his stuff in one my classes years ago! I didn't see the movie yet.

I did order the book you recommended - hasn't arrived yet.

He is now one of my heros too. I think I'm going to have to read more about him.

And I'm glad you ordered that book! I actually got to meet the author not too long ago. He's another one of my heros.

Hope all is well. God Bless.

Autumn,

I had no idea they were making a movie about him, that is awesome!! I will definitely have to check it out!! I have read a lot about him and have to say isn't it amazing what the Lord can do in someone's life once they are saved?? Just WOW!!

Wonderful post, thanks for the heads up!!

ok, autumn,

I got the book by Clairborne - I think I told you that -

I finally got the book and am reading it - I am a fast reader so I read most of it in one sitting.

Great book - a person needs some friends to work through it and the practical application - have you been able to find such a group?

he has a great list at the back of the book. it is not complete - for example, I would list Neighborhood Ministries in Phoenix, where I live, as a group that would qualify for this kind of ministry - working with the poor.

thanks for putting me on to this book.
